Chatting with Tamela

Tamela now has the ability to hold interactive support group sessions with full video and audio. The instructions below will help you download and install the software you need, register for a Messenger account if you do not already have one, and connect to a chat session with Tamela. You must have your own webcam with microphone already installed on your machine to get the full video and audio experience. If you do not have a webcam, you can still see and hear Tamela and type your comments to her, but she will not be able to see and hear you.

Downloading MSN Messenger

1. Open an internet browser like FireFox or Internet Explorer.
2. Go to this website.
3. Click the Download button.
4. Follow the instructions on the website to download and install MSN Messenger.

Getting started with MSN Messenger

1. Follow the instructions on this web page.
2. Add Tamela as a Contact using the above instructions. Her email address is alinkforlife@gmail.com.
3. Once you add her as a Contact, she will need to confirm your request before she will show up in your Contact list.

Chatting with Tamela

1. Open MSN Messenger if it is not already open by clicking on the green person icon next to your clock in the lower right corner of your monitor screen.
2. Double click on Tamela’s name in your Contacts list. This will open a chat window with her. You can either type your messages to her in the chat window, or you can start a video call with her.
3. To start a video call with Tamela, click on the Start or stop a video call button at the top of the chat screen.
4. If Tamela starts a video chat with you, you will see a request appear in your chat window. Click the Accept link in order to start the video chat.
